Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why our F250 continues to stutter and is running rough with little power. We have broken down on the M1 near Mooney Mooney
We have just replaced the cam sensor and still no go
Would appreciate any advice
Thank you
Shaun and Suzy

Hi Shaun,
Not being very familiar with the F250, but is it Petrol or Diesel? If Petrol, what grade of petrol are you using, 91 RON, 95 RON, 98 RON, or Ethanol blend?

Shaun,
The problem as you describe it sounds suspiciously like a fuel related problem. First thing I would
check is your fuel filter for either water or dirt.
Check for possible loose connections where you could be getting an air leak. Then moving on to the injectors. Where did you fill your tank last prior to this problem occurring?
As age as a good Diesel Mechanic around
Sydney, I would be calling Berima Diesel.

Hi Macca,
The main issue was the power that goes to the injectors runs to a plug on the outside of the rocker cover. On the inside of the cover is another plug that had come loose hence no power to the injectors and once I had reconnected the plug it enabled the truck to fire up.
Thanks again for your help
Cheers
Shaun

Hi Shaun,
Thanks for the update, it is nice to know how people resolve these issues when they post and ask for assistance. Some people do not always post what the resolution was.

If there is nothing obviously wrong you will have to read the codes from the computer and go from there.

Thanks Lloyd,
The codes came up were P1316 and P0603
Just wondering if you know of any good diesel mechanics in
Sydney?

Also this from the same source.
Article for Code P0603
What a nightmare! One code potentially interacting with another, with complexities of including codes not available.
Could still be bad fuel.
Lucky you are not in a remote area.
Good luck with getting it sorted.
