Hi All,
I note that you can purchase
ExplorOz Traveller on the Microsoft Store (
https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/exploroz-traveller/9NLSKRVT676L?hl=en-hk&gl=hk ).
In the notes on the app it stated you can run it on a windows laptop ..
An external GPS is required to show your position on the map as you travel when offline.
If you connect a serial or USB connector to add a GPS to your device for use in this app you will also need to install a GPS sensor driver (we recommend GPSComplete available from
https://www.turboirc.com/gps7/). You can download and run this product in evaluation mode. Just follow the program prompts. TIP: Ensure you use your Windows Device Manager first to determine which COM Port your GPS is plugged into. This is required for the setup the GPS Complete program accurately.
Has anyone got Traveller installed on a laptop with external GPS connected. If so, does it operate OK?
cheers
Neil

A while back I used a Sony Vaio with a GPS via usb, worked fine. Now a iPad Air 4th Gen with internal GPS.

To save having cables in your vehicle, just use a Bluetooth GPS Receiver, problem solved

Yep, it’s what I would do if I went down that path again.
