Place Comment: Davies Plain Track

Track very deteriorated. Reasonably good for 5k past buckwong creek going south. Then deteriorates with washaways and clay uphill slopes. About 1 k north of Davies plain hut, major bog and large deep washaway. About 1 k past hut, going south washaway on steep slope pretty much impassable after rain, unless you have a winch.
Over a week some inconsiderate drivers chopped up the track further by deliberately driving through the bogs, then having to be towed out by their mates. Personally I would have left them.
This magnificent area and track now requiring significant vehicle and driver skill. Please respect the track, keep your tyre pressure low to avoid slippage and track wear. Be considerate of other users.
