Had a text message to tell me they had safely got to
Katherine. No details but all there.

Safely here
John, with only one SMALL hiccup. The cruise control on the Triton jammed on and wouldn't even cut out if switched off or even if we turned the ignition off. We disconnected it at
Daly Waters (what a hoot of a joint) but I was driving with white knuckles for while. The moral of the story is don't tempt fate by bagging someone elses vehicular misfortunes. Maybe I really do have Landcruiser 100 series envy?

Good to know you could control the cuise control ultimately, but there were obviously some safety issues with it Wombat. Glad that you three were able to get over them though.
Safe travelling for now on.

Wimbie, it could NEVER get that bad, its just that they must have used Toyota parts when fitting the cruise to the Mitchy. Lucky you disconnected it. Glad to hear y'all OK and having a fun time.
