Recently purchased EO Topo and very impressed with it.
Question: when using the offline maps my location item will scroll off the screen if I dont move the map myself. Is it possible to make it a "moving map" through settings somewhere. It would be ideal if it worked like Google Maps or Wiki Camps where the location icon remains on the screen via the map re setting the location.
Just wondering if it's possible on EO?
Cheers.

Hi Gene
Not 100% sure if this is what you want, but there is a Moving Map Mode icon on your map screen tools.
Page 13 of the latest manual I believe.
Keeps your position in the centre of the map.
Cheers

If what I read correctly from what you have asked, is can you get the EO TOPO map to work as a moving map?
The short answer is no, not unless you have a dedicated program that has GPS data and can read your map data like OziExplorer.

Ah, Stephen has hit on a possibility that I had not considered in my reply that was above - now deleted because it is irrelevant. I did not read your question correctly and assumed you were talking about EO Traveller.
You will need EO Traveller which natively uses
EOTopo, or an app or program on your device that can use .ecw or .ozf format maps.

Hi Gene - presume you are using
ExplorOz Traveller which using
EOTopo maps... yes to lock the GPS so that it tracks your position as you move along the map just press the circular icon above the zoom controls until you see the circle turn
orange. If you touch the map screen (to pan the map yourself) you will unlock the GPS and this icon turns white, so you'll need to tap it again to activate the lock.

Gene,
That would be the circled icon in the
pic below. Tap it once it will go
orange and the moving map will be in north up mode. Tap again and it will turn to a solid V shape. That's track up mode. Tap again or scroll the screen and moving map is turned off.
