Garny
Hi I own a Holden Trailblazer fitted with the tyre pressure monitoring system.
Is there another way to reset the monitors after rotation or replacement of tyres
to save having a Holden dealer reset with there leaning tool.

I have the had the
INNOTECHRV 10 SENSOR TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM for about 8 years now. I have all 4 road wheels for the car and the van plus the spare tyre for each.
If the car is going in for tyre work or a service, I remove them so I can put them back in the correct location.

I think Garny has a Holden system, it would have internal sensors mounted on the inside of the Schrader valve. Michael

Something like this
I bought a resetting tool on Ebay for under $20. It takes less than a minute to reset all four wheels to the correct positions on my Holden. Michael.

.
I did find this re Holden TPMS.........
1. Apply
parking brake. Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)
2. Press and hold unlock and lock buttons on the keyless entry transmitter until horn sounds, and then LF turn signal will become illuminated.
3. Starting with LF tire, increase/decrease tire pressure until horn sounds.
4. After horn sounds proceed as in step 5 for the next 3 sensors in the following order: RF RR LR After completing LR tire horn will sound twice.
5. Turn ignition to OFF position to exit vehicle learn mode. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on the placard.
Ye Gods, after
the horn has blasted everyone in
camp 5 times you would get lynched!
I think Michael's suggestion has more merit..... or disconnect the Holden stuff and get a decent adjustable TPMS.

LOL Allan, yes that works for some Holdens pre 2013, i was thinking his vehicle may have been later. I guess his handbook would tell him more about his particular procedure or YouTube, there is generally something available there. Michael

What a convoluted way to set something! I bet GM engineers see that as fun to think the owners have to endure it and wander around the vehicle while it sounds off. Perverse humour.
I had something to do with their body electrics a while ago and for an older car, it was to cost almost more than the car was worth to get Holden to reset the door lock system, fault was, one locked and three unlocked or three locked and one unlocked. How it decided to do that was puzzling. B#$%rd programming is a speciality.

Allan,
That sounds like an "
Easter egg" that you might find in Microsoft Excel, where programmers hide a little game or demo inside their otherwise very clever code.
LOL.
