For those that were interested in attending this years gathering at Mt Ive Station, the current situation is. I would hope that it will still proceed but cannot give a definite answer at this stage. If the States lift all Border and travel restrictions, I would say yes. Once again this will then depend on the Station owner to whether they will allow travellers on their property. I was hoping to visit them in June but, due to restrictions we are house bound until further notice. Our only travel is to work and back as we are both essential workers. As the Government's change their ruling, I shall be able to do more contacting with the relevant authorities to get a clearer picture. If other people have clearer info about travelling from their State, it would be appreciated by all to here about it.

Read on the ABC news site that maybe, just maybe interstate travel might be open at end of the year. International travel is out of the question but towards the end of the year (maybe in time for Xmas) domestic travel may be an option. Of course there are so many variables. I wouldn't be making plans that you cant break or expect to be set in concrete. . Even if domestic travel is ok by Xmas...will interstate travel be ok?...

Having had one trip interstate cancelled Mt Ive suddenly appealed.

WA was quick to limit internal travel and then close borders and the way the Premier is talking I wouldn't think he will be in a hurry to reopen them.

Best we can hope for here is the internal travel restrictions can be lifted in time for a spring holiday somewhere.

But it's all for the best.

Take care people.

Thanks GarryR - I was just thinking we probably needed to confirm that for the time being the gathering is unlikely to be able to go ahead a "national" gathering.

Just roll it over to 2021 if needed :)

G'day John, yes a few of those platforms around. We're using Microsoft Teams here at work and we've been using House Party with our friends. Haven't tried Zoom yet.

Yep Billy - I think you are correct. I personally think this year is a not goer. When work settles down in the next couple of weeks, I will start doing some serious inquiries. When have just cancelled Judy's 70th birthday and Mum's 90th due to the current situation. It will be great to catch up with everyone, but may be not this year. Good to hear from you. Keep safe.

Hi Garry

Can't see all travel being allowed by then, but is a chance of state based travel and some relaxation of groups.

I am keeping open the possibility of a Victorian get together around October possibly at our place (near Yarck).

We are still currently able to drive there and maintain our 4wd tracks.
