I know, Michelle, having visited just recently. Will leave it to others.
Cheers

I think I know. Isn't technology wonderful, but it is probably cheating :-)
Good to see Pick a Place again. About all we can do with Covid19

Thank you for not spoiling the surprise ...
I'll do one daily, unless someone else puts one in first - which is also fine. And its also fine to keep adding more if they are guessed early in the day.

After a bit of research I found it at the
Canberra Arboretum near the Himalayan Cedar Forest.
Have you been there ? It's a long way from
home for you.

Ah, you shouldn't have cheated - yes I took this photo when we were there in December 2018/January 2019. I really think this is a wonderful spot. For those struggling to read, it says "Wide Brown Land" and is an
art installation set atop a
hill on the drive up to the Arboretum. I'll put some extra photos in the Place link. There is a wonderful bonsai gallery inside to explore too.

Well, that stumped us !!
I don't suppose it has anything to do with
Port Arthur?
Cheers

Yep! My 12 year old (who was 6 at the time) picked it straight away.
Well! We near got blown off the top of the "mountain" just to see the sights in town.
There's a cryptic answer for you Michelle! I won't spoil it for others yet.
Cheers

Didn't have to cheat for this one. !!
I believe it is the shelter at
Evans Lookout near Blackheath in the Blue Mountains (not too far from
home)
Went to a wedding there recently.

It's lunch time here now, so I'll come back and see if we've got any more guesses - if not I'll reveal the Place name and location and a bit of info for your enjoyment. You'll all be kicking yourselves... I'm sure many of you have surely been here - maybe you just didn't venture quite far enough from the
carpark to see it.... hint .... there's walk trails here...

OK Kgarn, our posts crossed paths and I"m pleased to say that yes you are correct.
This is the stone shelter at
Evans Lookout. It's quite an unusual sight, seems too intricate for a place like this. We were hiking here in
Easter 2017 - the fantastic
Grand Canyon trail loops through here and so the walk can be started from this point.
