Great drive to. Nice track from Moolawatana through Mt Freeling to the Strezleki

The last undeveloped PUBLIC track in the Flinders.

Good camping also at Terrapinna and a well presented and informative walking trail, though when last through there Moolawatana had a road closed sign up , we enquired at the station and were told they , like so many others had got sick of the idiots.
The thing I found most interesting is the amount of damage to the “water level structure, in a valley that looks like it hasn’t seen rain in years

If my memory serves me correct, that was on Quinyambie Station and was more than 25 years ago. 4 vehicles cut up the station tracks when it was wet.
They have long memories.
About that time we drove through that area on the SA side of the border at the invitation of Quinyambie with a group from the Toyota Landcruiser Club of SA to look at the ruin at Tilcha with a view to restoring it. It is a stone building in a beautiful spot. Unfortunately (we thought) they decided it was too hard and did not proceed with the project.
This was soon after the completion of the restoration of Kudriemichie Outstation on the way to Coongie which was also on a Kidman property and partly financed by them.
Might be interesting if some group offered to take on that Tilcha project now?

Not a matter of long memories, it is ongoing. We ran into a group who when coming upon the road closed sign on Mt Brown returned to the ranger station and checked the board. Because Mt Brown was not on there (because it's a station track) they assumed the sign was a mistake and drove up the road. This after we told them that it was a private station road and it was in fact closed. This is the mentality of some of the morons who own 4X4s

Ranger Station? Must be a different Mt Brown track?
