Coffee machine

We use capsules and a Nespresso Citiz machine with a separate frother. 360Ah lithium batteries and a Xantrex 1800W PSW inverter plus 440 watts solar to support it and the rest of the stuff.

How much weight you want to carry and unless you stick to main roads the chances are you rattle it to pieces.. We just find decent coffee shops when we can or boil water and make instant. The missus does use Nescafe Latte satchels

I love my morning coffee too and have a proper espresso machine at home. But this is what I do out bush...........

A double-walled stainless coffee plunger.
I grind the beans at home and carry them in a screw-top jar.
Heaped dessert spoon of grind, add boiled water, wait 15 secs and slowly depress plunger.
Pour and sip. It's every bit as good as home.
But wait, there's more....... Cappuccino!!!! Do the espresso bit, pour into cup, then rinse the plunger in hot water, add hot milk and pump the plunger up and down a few times to very effectively stretch the milk.
One-cup sizes can be had from $25 on eBay, a bit more for larger sizes.

I use an Aeropress. Works with elbow-grease, makes good coffee, and takes up no room in the car or bike.

Have been using one of these for some time now. Simple and effective and the pods are readily available.

You can also get a version that uses ground coffee and they are available to purchase in Aus.

As we all know everything tastes better when you’re camping, so just stick to a mocha pot and enjoy the serenity.

I take the one from home..... Pavoni Profesional lever machine..... is 26 years old now.... smallish.... about 1200w .

I find a cold Ice Break coffee milk is much easier when traveling not prep work required just get it out of the fridge.

Saw a 12v Expresso machine in one of the department stores a few years ago for around $450 (from memory).

Like Ivan we get our capacino fix at cafes. In the van ww use grounded coffee (aldi) and a plunger.

Don't need a machine.

The biggest single variable is freshly ground beans. Use a Porlex hand grinder. Then Hario pour-over.

Low tech. Nothing to go wrong.

An Italian stovetop espresso coffee pot and an old fashioned manual coffee grinder is all we need. Great coffee (unground beans keep well in the fridge and acceptable ones can be purchased in most places if you are far from your special roaster!). These are cheap, travel well, take up little space and provide excellent coffee. Not suitable for a campfire but then there is billy tea! JohnandLynne
