A man was struck by his own car in a bizarre incident in Victoria’s north overnight. The 29-year-old Campbellfield man was with six other people when his four-wheel drive became stuck in Wandong Regional Park about 11pm. A second car was attempting to winch the vehicle back onto Dry Creek Fire access track when appears the winch failed His vehicle rolled back and wedged him against a tree.

I bet no alcohol was involved either.

I wonder why he was behind the vehicle - shielding from a potential cable break, or trying to stop it once it started rolling.

From 9 News article here:

Sounds like they winched it up the hill and parked it, thinking it was "safe". The car then rolled backwards and trapped the man.

I guess this will probably qualify him for a major "4WD FAIL" video on YooToob?

Cheers, Ron.
