Hi all,
This coming Xmas a group of friends and I want to go camping together. I'm a regular camper; I mostly
camp in the
Otways.
What I'm looking for is a location that will be fairly secluded from other campers. I know over Xmas that will be a tough ask, but hoping someone has some ideass for us.
-We don't have 4x4, so it needs to be accesable by standard cars.
-Showers &
toilets arent required, as I have that taken care of.
-Near water would be a nice to have.
-Ideally in VIC would be preferable
-No snakes strongly required
-Small fires allowed, so long as no fire ban
Thank you for your help :)

Have you thought about Glendinning. Sth west corner of Rocklands Reservior. It is located on the south west corner of the
Grampians. We have camped there before, no showers but good drop dunnies. Easy two wheel drive in and very good fishing. Plenty to see and do around the
Grampians and various towns to visit. About 3.5 - 4 hrs from
Melbourne.

Including my suburban back yard Ivan, although thankfully (
well sort of) we've only seen babies most years.

The
Ada River Campground is a very nice
campground surrounded by tall trees.
The Bell Birds get a bit noisy, however I've only ever seen two or three small groups of people camped in an area of about 300 square metres.
