Hello prado 150 owners

I am am about to do a 2inch lift and put 265/70R17 on my prado 150 and was wondering if anyone has done the same can tell me the height of their roof rails at the top?
I have a low garage of 2.1 and am worried it will max over this

Thank you
Brent

With 50mm higher, presuming the bum isn't noticeably higher than that AND ad increase of say 40mm diameter tyre OD that should only bring you to around 1960 high if it is a GXL. Other variants would be less. Those figures can easily be checked by looking at Prado specs and adding the I/2 the tyre dia increase plus the lift amount to the std vehicle height specs.

PS. I don't own a Prado just looked at the info given by you and specs.

I have a 150 series with 2" lift (actually at the back it's more like 3") and 265/70 R17's and I have a frontrunner roof rack. Height is 2.05m. It used to fit through my 2.1m high garage door and fits in 2.1 public carparks.

Thanks so much
What tires do you have on yours?
Does the spare wheel cover fit over your spare?

Cheers

I have Cooper STMaxx.

I've had 265/70R17's fitted from the day I picked it up from the dealer, originally had BFG AT's. The spare tyre cover didn't fit those tyres and I have never used it. I gave it away years ago.

I'd be getting it checked if the rear sits to high it may upset the brake balance and handling. A work mate had his ranger lifted last yr and he asked me if it looked right I said it was to high in the rear. He took it back they had fitted the wrong rear springs.

It has the correct springs. They are 200kg constant load so it's sits higher when unloaded but sits nicely when loaded up. I don't really get the argument about brake balance. If brake balance is set up for the vehicle when it's unloaded then what happens when you load it up and the rear sits down lower? If you've got a ute that's designed to carry a tonne then surely the brakes are set up to work effectively when it's loaded.
