OK Ken, I'll give you the prize. The photo was taken on one of our walks in the King's Canyon area . Quite spectacular scenery, and very like the Bungles in appearance.

Thanks Ken. The walk is called The King's Canyon Rim Walk, quite spectacular but not all that easy and very dry.

Yes Frank,

It is the area around Dunns Swamp in the Wollemi NP.
Have been there many times to enjoy the walks, canoeing and fishing.

One of our favourite weekend getaway places. Paddling to the upstream end of the lake is a magical experience. Downstream toward the dam wall is just as nice in a different way with rugged sandstone cliffs and sunlit reflections of the ripples being cast onto overhanging rocks.

The campground is a bit loved to death but well maintained by NSW nat parks.
It's a great base from which to walk and explore.

We enjoyed a quite moving experience there some time ago. We were the only ones there at the time, returning from a walk in the golden light of late afternoon, when we heard the most magnificent, haunting didgeridoo echoing from among the rock formations in the campground. We sat and listened for some time, transfixed. When it finished a ranger, a Wiradjuri traditional owner, emerged and explained that he was taking advantage of the solitude to pay his respects to country and his ancestors.

It was a special moment which we won't forget. We felt quite privileged to have been there.

If you are referring to my photo, then no, it is not the Bungles. The photo is taken when hiking on the Kings Canyon Rim walk.
Here’s a link showing other shots of the same area.
