How are the showers at innaminka. I have heard a couple stories about them.
Just wondering if anyone has been and used them.

There are hot showers in the car park near the pub and
shop. $2 coin for 3 minutes. As soon as you put the coin in they start and they stop with no warning after the 3 minutes. They are fine.

For some reason I was thinking of
Tibooburra, I have no idea why, LOL. I have used the
Innamincka showers, agree, they are fine.

A coupla, few years ago my wife and I had a shower there. I recall the water being a bit coloured , a lot of outback water is a bit hard. But they were hot and felt bloody good after a few days travelling. Can’t be fussy out there!
Cheers

Well - if you have just flown in to
Innamincka direct from the Hyatt in
Sydney they will be the worst showers you will ever have !
But if you've just spent 3 weeks out in the sticks in 40 plus degree heat in between
Eromanga, Tanbar and Durhham they will be the best showers you will ever have !
It's all in the mind
Cheers
Gazz

Shower
Very dirty and unclean . Thats what I was told . The photo's looked disgusting.
Just wanted to know are they cleaned . Band aids, empty soap packets, shampoo and shaving containers all over the floor. Also no
bins to get rid of this rubbish either.
Bit of a catch 22. Must be going soft in my old age. But no excuse for filth.

Wow! It wasn’t like that when we showered there a few years ago, but am I surprised? No.

Maybe they're fed up with continually cleaning up after the animals WE travel with and just clean up once a day. Definitely looks like it needs a refurb LOL.
The simple answer is use it or provide your own.

The water quality would be mostly responsible for the coloration of the walls. The same water quality was responsible for one of my most appreciated hot showers.
Surely we don't expect anyone to clean up after us.
You get what you give travellers.??
Some do, some don't.

Sad but true, it shouldn’t be a pretty standard bush shower, if you can carry the stuff in, you can carry it out & find a bin, as you should with a
camp site!
We’ve just come back from 10,000kms through the Outback, in several
places they had a simple request, please close the
toilet lid to keep the frogs & snakes out, it was obviously too hard for most people, including females.
