It refers to the
Ora Banda pub in Western Australia.
'The owners of one of Western Australia's most infamous pubs have pledged to rebuild after the historic building was gutted by fire.'

The owner must have upset the local bikies, just like Don Handcock did?
Not the first time the
Ora Banda Hotel has been a derelict ruin. I worked right next to the pub, digging an open pit, with my bulldozer in 1971, and it was abandoned and in
ruins, back then.
But it was rebuilt and brought back to life when the Eastern Goldfields of W.A. was revitalised with the gold boom of the late 1970's and 1980's.
It's a bit of a shame the owner lost so many photos and other irreplaceable artifacts in the fire.
But I know the feeling - if it wasn't for my own house fire (caused by an electrical fault in the powerline down the road, that boosted the current to my house to 330V, thus setting my bedside clock on fire), I'd still have photos to show you of the
Ora Banda Hotel in the early 1970's.
Cheers, Ron.
