Has anyone a report on the current condition of the road from
Lake King to
Norseman?
Thanks in anticipation.

No answers yet, maybe give the
Norseman council a call. Last I heard the
Norseman end is worse than the
Lake King end.

Went thru there in March,
Lake King end is pretty good, just a few wash outs here and there but nothing major. Once you get into
Norseman Shire conditions change for the worse.
Limestone base road is very rough so low tyre pressure and low speed will save your teeth from falling out. We cleared a couple of fallen trees from the road after the big fires had gone through the area.
Three vehicles all towing campers got through without any damage but it was pretty barren due to the fires particularly near the
water tank. Just need to take your time.
Cheers
Peter

My mate ended up trying this road a couple of days ago. Was told at
Lake King the road was closed so he travelled part of the way then turned south towards
Cascades then east coming out just south of Salmon Gums. Corrugations were bad and was down to 30 kmh in
places towing a semi-off road caravan.
