Hi JJAdv

You would not have wanted to stumble across that nursery find when it was in operation.......you might not have lived to tell your story.

Cheers

Yep, I havent, but a friend who also rides did come across an active one and was confronted.. Was a little uncomfortable he said. All the things you would expect like "You didnt see this.. right!", ended with the police finding out and shutting it down eventually.

There is a few around these rocks due to the isolation and availability of water.

We go looking for them from time to time.

Just be very careful, as we all know there are some real crazy people out there.

Also I should have said, great viewing and thanks for sharing.

A friend of ours got big spikes through 2 tyres a few years back out around Mt Jackson. It was said by some people we met to protect a local "personalities" mining lease but I wonder what it was really there for?

I must have just missed you, I saw a single motor bike track east of Marda on the Sunday. Was pretty quiet in the area, apart from 1 club of 16 vehicles didn't see anyone at all.

Looking for adventure.
In whatever comes our way.

Part 3/3 of the Goldfields and Woodlands Western Australia ADV ride. This part takes me from Mt Jackson, to the Aurora range, to Koolyanobbing, to the Vultee WW2 crash site, then home.

Hope these inspire someone to go out and take a look.

Please subscribe and share around to anyone who is interested. Makes the time and effort worthwhile.

G'day JJAdv,
On the morning of your departure from Marda Dam was the person at the shed and vehicle part of your crew?
Also at Marda Dam was there any sign of a new mine (gold) being set up/develop just to the east of the dam?
Regards Rod
