Has anyone recently driven from Stonehenge via WarBreccan Road onto Winton Jundah Road to Opalton then onto Winton?

If so how was the condition of the road?
Approximate travel time from SH to Opalton?
Anything else I should know.

Thanks

Have never been on Stonehenge-Warbreccan road, Brett, but have been on the others you mention. Roads in the Barcoo Shire are usually very good, and only a lack of rain this year would have them very dry & possibly some stretches of bull dust.

Winton-Jundah is not bad, again quite dry, with some truck traffic at the moment.

There was good rain around Opalton & into Winton, so the Council has had a road plant down there recently, spreading gravel that we dropped there late last year, but there was insufficient water in the area then to upgrade the road.

I think you’ll find it a good drive, with roads being from slow & dusty, to fresh, firm gravel & lastly about 15km of bitumen, into Winton.
