Thinking of heading to Freshwater Lake just out of Dunkeld for the March long weekend.
Has anyone been there recently and know the water level?
Plan B is Lake Bolac

Have you considered the camping area nth west of Dunkeld called Glendinning. Judy and I stayed there last year or so. Plenty of camping room and a great spot for fishing.
location - Warragul -Victoria
life is too short, so out and about enjoy

Thanks Garry and yes, Rocklands Reservoir is now our plan B as I've been told by people at the information centre that Lake Bolac has algae and lots of midges at the moment.

Just an update.
Freshwater Lake near Dunkeld is dry but still a few campers there as well as Emu's and Roo's. We didn't stay there
Lake Bolac where we ended up staying has blue green algae so not suited for swimming or water sports.
Lots of midges came out once the sun went down but didn't affect us too much as we just went inside then.
Through the daytime, the view of the lake was sensational. There were lots of fire rings located around the camp and 3 different camping areas with flushing toilets and hot / cold showers. Cost is $15 per site per night.
