Hi
Is it possible to get to Blue Waterholes following Long Plain Road from the Brindabella road turn off at Crace road.

I found a GPX track file saying you can but aren't their locked gates along that track.

Thanks in advance

There was a few years back, wouldn't know now though. I would suspect there are.

am sure you cannot enter via Grace road due to locked gates.
we went to Blues Waterhole via BrokenCart /Longplain on the way to camp at Yangabilly in Dec 2016, so 13 months ago
We had to go in via Boundary Road from Brindabella road.
boundary road was an easy run but on that trip Broken Cart was very overgrown, had lots of washouts and several large and deep mud holes and water crossings
at one crossing we had to cut a detour and lay a courdaroy as the hole as basicly bottomless.we had 3 vehicles and this go around alone took several hours

Broken Cart does not seem a good way to go, but seems the only way unless you go via Cooma.

Im pretty sure that road has a locked gate just south of Perkins Flat. Head to Bondo and take Boundry road

I've just been there. The locked gate is north of Perkins Flat. You can reach Perkins Flat from the south via Long Plain Rd.

I've just been in that area.

Access to Long Plain Rd from Brindabella Rd is via one of the routes shown in magenta, ie Barnetts Rd then the western portion or the eastern portion of Boundary Rd on to the southern portion of Broken Cart Track.

The northern portion of Broken Cart marked in yellow is narrow. Lots of pinstriping if that is an issue for you. And a boghole that swallowed my BT50 :-(

You could tow a trailer on the western magenta route. Not sure about the eastern. You would not get a trailer through the northern portion of Broken Cart (yellow) due to very sharp turns in diversions around fallen trees and other obstacles.
