Alan
I am not familiar with that particular unit, however as there are apparently some sort of rubber seals and a slide valve involved I would be using either a cooking oil, preferably Olive Oil, spray or a Silicon based spray. A dry PTFE spray could also be suitable.
I would NOT be using any of the mineral oil or fish oil based sprays such as CRC, WD40, DWF 5.56 0r 2.26 etc nor would I be using Vaseline as these can/will cause the rubber to swell. These sprays have also shown to be not always suitable around plastics.

Dow Corning Molykote 111 O-ring lubricant or equivalent is the best lubricant for rubber seals. It is recommended by Dometic for the o-rings in their VT2500 vacuum
toilet.

Thetford recommend Olive oil. Spay can is the easiest to uses for the seal and flap.

Thanks everybody. I tried olive oil to no avail. My wife has arthuritis in the hands and cannot operate a sticking slide. I have just now bought a new one from RTM which has a simpler operating system.
Thanks to all for your help. Happy travels.
Alan
