Could anyone who has towed a caravan from Broken Hill to Tibooburra recently kindly let me know what is the condition of the road.
Many thanks in anticipation of your response.

Can't help with conditions, but a work colleague recently drove it and advised its sealed most of the way now ... I found a media release suggesting over 70% in 2015 and probably more by now.

It goes to shit with the slightest shower. When it's dry it's usually pretty good. Ring the Packsaddle roadhouse for an better indication of the current conditions.

The roadworks have some rough spots ,but tomorrow that will change .
87% sealed now .
If it rains it will be closed or will be classed 4wd only ,that means no towing . Just watch the weather ,you will be right.

Hi Peter,

It is the salt lake opposite side of the road to Lake Cobham (don't mark it on Wiki camps ha ha)

We did Lyndon, about four weeks ago. As said afore, mainly sealed with only a couple of stretches unsealed. They were in good order at the time.

Even the dirt sections have had a substantial makeover in the last year or so.

Locals told me they expected it to be fully sealed some time soon.
