Saw this on a Practical Motoring Review.
Forget the R/C drones - this looks like a heap more fun!
This is a Remote Control 4wd which has portal axles, Diff Locks, Hi/Lo range and amazing
suspension flex.
Pity its a LandRover :-) Haha. But I have a soft spot for the Defender - my wife and I took a LandRover 2A on our honeymoon to Fraser Island in 1980.

bb, My son who's now 33 bugged me for ages when he was 11 to get him an R/C car that he could race. We went down to the local track at
Mitchell Park and it looked very technical but good fun and nice people - mixture of all ages. He took to it like a duck to water and I got hooked too. We spent the next 7 years travelling around the countryside racing the offroad buggies and 4wds. He made a bunch of true lifelong friends. He now has a 4 year old son who naturally has has a few of these things to play with and race around. So by all means encourage your grandson!

Gday Phil, i know that track at
Mitchell Park and have watched the antics of the competitors and really enjoyed it. I haven't been there for a long time, used to observe after taking my little foxy dog to obedience next door on sunday mornings. Was good to watch. Ive still got my GRM Volvo V8 Supercar R/C model, just given me some ideas, and the grandson aint gonna get controls of the Volvo toy just yet..

Hi b1b and Phil.
FYI the RC track at
Mitchell Pk that you would've seen has moved approx 300m north to the corner of the sporting complex. It has a 4 foot fence around it with a very
well set out track and drivers stand. It looks like the RC club has spent some $$ and now developed a quality off road RC course.

Hi Stephen, if I buy one, it won't be me doing the driving - I'm all thumbs when it comes to RC stuff. My son and his 4 year old son are into it. Got two more grandchildren expected in November to my 2 older daughters and they are both expecting boys, so might have to get some R/C 4wds for the whole clan!
Heading west next weekend - off via the GVD to eventually arrive at Dirk Harthog Island for a Tvan gathering. It would be a very suitable place for an Ultimate gathering too. The barge can just fit a 4wd plus camper and 20 are allowed at a time on the Island.

Hi Phil
If your son is into it, looks you and your grandson will have to fight for the remote control....lol
All the best with your trip and safe travels. Sounds like you should be seeing some great country and will have a fantastic time and looking forward to hearing how your trip goes.
Cheers
Stephen

Phil, So life like, I think I saw it drop some oil about halfway into the video. Or is there a button on the controller so that feature can be operated at will? Regards, Michael.

Haha.... maybe it will break an axle shaft like my old 2A did in peak hour traffic on Spit
Hill many years ago :-)
Nice to see that "retired" word in your signature!!!
Cheers
