Has anyone been on the Carson Track this year? If so, what are the conditions generally given it has been a reasonable wet season?

Thanks. I have asked due to the bigger wet. Will be tackling it mid July, so hopefully it has dried out some by then. Permits are still obtainable with a bit of knowledge about the process!

Great that you can still get permits, I was mis informed about it being closed.
We did it finishing at
Home Valley and took 11 days to complete......tyres were the only casualty though needed winching a couple of times.....tough on vehicles but if you take your time damage is minimal
I had a Hema app on the iPad which was good but at times an ordinary GPS was more accurate.
A great experience and doubt if there are many on a par with it.

Thanks Richard. I intend to use the Hema Explorer Pro 1:9 mapping so it will be interesting to see how accurate it is. Did you find the track to
King George Falls, and do you have GPS marks for the track or landmarks/side tracks worth doing?
