Hi guys. Just finished installing a odiesel heater. All works well but there is a bit of a smell when it is working. Is that normal ? Or is it just that the unit is new? Thanks

Only smell mine has is when it first starts up, you get a hit of diesel exhaust outside the trailer if you are in the direction the wind is blowing. After the initial start up there's no noticeable smell, and no smell indoors at any time.

I found that when I installed mine.

After a few uses it stopped so I reckoned it had to sorta ''burn in'' like a new exhaust system on a Honda.
