Someone (insert many explitives not printable) stole our son's bronze 2003 GXL 100 series 4.2td from outside his place in Croydon Park, Sydney, sometime in the early hours of Friday morning.

The only 4WD additions installed are a set of steel rims and fairly new Cooper tyres. They also had a 4WD HF radio antenna mount on the rear left hand side.
Number plate is: BE 85 US. Not that the number plate will still be the same.

What is special is that there isn't any mods and the car would stand out to anyone with a modified car.

We doubt that it will be returned. Either burnt, stripped or set aside for a likely ram raid.

Needless to say both are quite upset about the loss. They didn't get the chance to use it being 7 day a week bakers. But we did enjoy a very memorable trip to the Cape with another son and his Nissan.

If anyone sees it please contact Burwood, NSW Police; 02 9745 8499

Thanks

Phil

Luckily ours is locked away in the garage. And there is a "trick" to getting the doors up. Son's wife tells me that a few other 4wds went from the same area just recently.

I also heard that it's dead easy to get in. Just download the S/W onto a laptop. Plug it in and away you go. I guess that they were professionals.

HI Phil
Sorry for your loss of your great wagon. While you work your backside off you have oxygen thieves that do this. Put this info on face book and it will spread quicker than any other way.
regards
Richard

Thanks mate. Not my car. It's the sons. He bought it a few years back for a family trip to the Cape. Another son had a patrol on the trip. It served them well.

It was reported and they put it on facebook as well. They won't see it again.

But stranger things do happen.

Hey Roachie

" I will happily pull the trigger!!! "

Don't agree with you there mate - there is nowhere near enough suffering involved in that - these cockroaches of society need to be taught a lesson and if I had anything to do with it - suffer they would !!

Cheers

What is a pain is the fact that we were planning a Simpson Desert family drive next year.

We shall see. One of the problems with owning a 4wd plus a town car and only having one parking place in the complex is that it can sit there for days. Makes it a good target and gives the mungrels time to plan. ie set up a laptop etc.

They are looking for a house but it need to be near work as they are bakers and there just isn't good transport. Plenty of buses here in Canberra for the P-servants but stuff all for the tradies etc

It only had 21,000Kms (plus a bit) on the clock when he bought it in 2010. Not a lot since. Four absolutely rotten tyres as it had not been driven for ages and was on blocks in the garage.Even had spider webs on the mirrors. We had to take my second set of wheels just to go for a test drive. Owner was confined to bed and the wife wouldn't drive it. Nice elderly couple. All services done and the oil was like new.

Your right. A nice car.

No, that is a 100 series. You can tell by the flat looking wheels. 105 s have more dish to the wheel.

I apologise in advance, and it's not even Friday. But I couldn't stop myself.

It was probably a 200 series owner who wanted a real 4WD!
