Afternoon all, I'm in the market for a new GPS to replace my existing one which is not working and to supplement my tablet and laptop that I also use when travelling.
What are the real life experiences with the VMS system compared with the HEMA mapping or similar OziExplorer running GPS'
4WD Supa Ctr currently have what appears to be a good deal on them compared with say a HEMA 7.
Thanks

Hi Duncan
I have foolishly had 2 VMS units both of which have been pieces of junk the first was replaced only by threating them with legal action so please please don't do it as I would not recomend them to my worst enermy go with the HEMA??? but I am sure there will be those disagree.

Thanks for the replies Kelvin & Jack. I had heard bad reports when VMS first came on the scene, but I was hoping that they would have improved their game since then. I've been told that their in-dash units are better but that's not what I want.

My current unit is a Chinese knock-off of the Hema which has been cracked to run Ozi. Worked well but the battery won't stay charged even when it's running direct from the 12v socket.

Cheers
