I have not camped there but great meals, hot showers etc. We stopped there for lunch on our way back, and was really impressed with the facilities. There are dongas that are available for sleeping ( not sure of cost), Plenty of area to set up for the night but, you could be kept awake with the road trains that go thru at night. Its a great truck stop. The old rule still applies, if the truckies stop there it will be good food and fuel. ( being an ex truckie ), They were real charactures that were in the roadhouse serving at that time. really worth a stop even if you are only passing thru.

Well worth a stop over. We had a room here and it was only 90 bucks, very clean and well appointed, even had a plush top mattress on the bed. Top meals at very reasonable price and a booster so you have mobile service in the bar. Packsaddle left most of the other places we stayed at on that trip for dead

I think he was wanting to camp there, not use fancy accommodation. Were there any camping there when you stopped there? What was the camp-ground like? Was there access to showers by the campers?

There is a small campground on a dry riverbed to the right of the highway (heading north) just before the bridge south of the pub.
Have stayed there a couple of times, probably only good for an overnighter.
Bonus it is close to the pub & as said good food & hot showers if needed
Cheers PMK
