Went to Carrawine Gorge yesterday.
The road in will need to be graded, recommend only those with high clearance cars and vans go in at the moment. Road has a lot of scouring from heavy rains this season

People do and they put a 4.47 Hornet in there yesterday. The water will clear in a few weeks and it will be very nice.

Hi Chris

Thanks for that and it looks like another spot to take the kayak.

Just off topic, I have at long last been able to get hold of that general store. The Aboriginal guy said the store is only open from 9 - 12, so that is why it took for ever to get hold of them.

If after that, he said go straight to that camp site and come back the next day and fix them up then. I asked about any cultural tours and he said it would depend who was in the community at the time.

So fingers crossed and so far plans are falling into place quite nicely.

Talk soon

Cheers

It's an excellent spot for those that haven't been there. Part of Warragine Station. The owners (Mills family) post signs up saying when mustering will be going on and warn of noise, motor bikes, helicopters, dust and cattle running around.
All they ask of visitors is that they keep respect it and keep it clean and take rubbish out.
Enjoy.
