Well it has come a long way from the old days, watch all of this, as the old girl fairly fires in the end.

Hi Eagle
Thanks for sharing. I do not think the Aussie farmers would like it in the paddocks with all those sparks.
On another note, I liked the Pererbilt Truck drags after that clip finishes. The second one has the truck beating the cars off the line....those car guys would have thought that they had it in the bag......lol
Cheers

Stephen,
A bloke I know who just happens to be one of the Admins on the Caravaners
Forum owns an F350 which I think has a 6.5 Duramax diesel. Being a bit of a lad at heart he has had what I would describe as "extensive work" done to this beast in the power output department. Apparently when he went over East to pick up a new caravan, a
young fella in a hotted up Commodore decided to show the old bloke in the Yank tank how it was done. A drag from the traffic lights resulted and the Commodore jockey found he couldn't leave this great big diesel powered monster no matter how hard he tried. This bloke reckons the kid in the Dunnydoor wouldn't even look at him at the next set of lights.
I went to see him about another matter and he offered me a drive. Which I gladly excepted. To say I was impressed would be an understatement.
I gave it a bit of acceleration and thought yeah, this thing has some toe. He said "no, flatten it"
HOLY MOTHER AND ALL THE SAINTS Here insert mouth wide open emoticon
Cheers

There are two twin supercharged 6.5L Duramax powered OKAs in
Adelaide.
They surprise a few people.
And they sound great too.......

G;day again Eagle,
Yeah I saw that one on Youtube a while back. I also loved a comment someone wrote along the lines of "What do they feed that thing??? The souls of the damned."
There is another one you may have seen where a traction engine, maybe that one, drags a 4WD
John Deere tractor with umpteen gazzilion horse power backwards in a tug of war...lol
Proving that traction beats HP if you can't get all that power to the ground.
Cheers

Madigan Line in 2004 look modern!

I reckon a clean of the spark plugs, a clean out of the carby (if it's still there) and some new petrol and it would probably fire right up....lol
Bags not twirling the crank handle though..(:=0)

She is a big old girl. If any visit
red cliffs and also see the old girl, make sure you visit Bob Twyfords (Bulldog Bob) tractor museum.
He is not afraid to work the tractors in the field.

Here's an oldie I filmed at Jondaryn Woolshed Qld. a few years ago, I'm pretty sure it's 25hp. It beat everything else there that day. Nothing like old style horsepower.
If anyone is interested in a bit of history and old stuff go to the Jondaryn Woolshed between
Toowoomba and
Dalby Qld. They also have a festival each year.
