Hi
I am looking at options to help store and access stuff in the back of a Ford
Ranger. Would like to keep wide access and not use drawers. Saw some units called "rolling floors" made by a company called Ezireach in QLD. They are basically a false floor that rolls out about 100 mm above the existing floor. Still have full flat floor or same width and depth as existing tub.
Has anyone had any experience with these units? Does anyone know of other people who make a similar unit?
Thanks

There is a flat deck bed thing available for warehouse type applications which has dozens of roller balls embedded into its surface allowing the gear on top to slide around in any direction. Might make lashing stuff down a bit challenging but might be worth a look.
Its also very
well sealed around the balls.

I have a side by side drawer system and still have full width access.
The fridge slide is flush with the floor.
The "wings" on either side have access wells for storage and when the fridge is not fixed, I have use of the full width of
the tub.

We have a "
Cargo Drawers of Australia" sliding bed in our Troopy. Heavy duty, high load capacity. Very
well made. Just customers.

A note and point-of-view on sliding drawers.
I had a set of drawers (Outback) in my original Landrover Defender as it seemed like a good idea at the time. However, I eventually took them out due to the weight penalty and plus they didn’t really achieve anything more from a storage or convenience aspect than four plastic tubs from Bunnings.
Cost Outback Drawers (circa $1,500) versus 4 tubs at Bunnings ($80). I’ve still got those 4 tubs 15 years later.
Cheers, Baz – The Landy
