Looking to stay in tamborine mountain area, has anyone stayed in either Tamborine Mountain Camping & Caravaning or Thunderbird Park. Both look good but word of mouth is best. Towing van 5.3 metres.
Thanks

I stayed at Thunderbird several years ago.
AFAIR the caravan sites were levelled platforms on the side of a
hill with concrete slabs. They were pretty good.
The facilities have left no lasting memory but I think they were "adequate"
There is a large
shop there that sells Thundereggs etc.
I don't know how much they charge these days but they are an alternative to the South side
Brisbane parks which are very (Aztec) and horribly ( Rochdale) noisy and expensive .

I have stayed at the
Canungra showgrounds. Close to Mt Tamborine, fires allowed and on the creek. An easy walk into town.
