Sir Kev
I am about to wire up 2 x 60w LED Light bars, I already have 2 x Light force 170's Halogen bulbs (100w) installed.
My question is can I use the same relay (40amp relay)? By my reckoning it is possible as the total watts will be under the 40 amp capacity (480 watts) and only needing 320watts.
Cheers Kev

The setup would be drawing around 25 amps through the relay. Depending on how hot the relay gets while running the spots will govern if you need another relay. Having had relays weld their contacts closed, I prefer to use a new relay for each light type. If one fails you have the other, even if they are being switched by the same source ie, Headlight High beam.

If your replacing the existing
driving lights won't be a problem, if you intend to keep both then I would be looking at the existing cabling to see if it can handlethe current with minimal voltage drop.

I am keeping
the spot lights, am adding the 2 light bars to the equation. It may just be easier to run another relay.

Not the answer to your question but what I did was mounted another relay next to my spottie one and piggy backed off the trigger wire from my spotties to save wiring another switch into the cab. That was a simple job
I either have them all on or none so no need for another switch

That is what I am now going to do, it is a PITA to try and get additional switches into the cab.
