I tried to ride my bike there once from Marvel Loch but ran out of time and didn't make it.

If I made it I would have tried to find a geocache which is hidden there. A link to the info is here

You will have to get permission to cross the Cunderlee Reserve.

Cheers

Ride your bike?????? thats why god invented 4bys. That link was usefull although I didnt understand what it was about.it seems it may be not worth the detour and hassle with permits especially as I only have the w/end I was sort of picturing a spring bubbling forth creating an oasis ( everyone can dream) what is a geocache?

Bike=600cc 4WD Quadcycle; god invented them too!!

Geocaching has been around for a few years now. It involves hiding and seeking a cache, which may have various articles in it. Usually when one finds a cache you take something from it and replace it with something else. Usually the items are not worth much; the fun is actually finding the cache.

I still wouldnt mind going to the spring, its a fairly historic place.

600cc quad-thats more like it! must have had you confused with those mad pedal pushing japanese tourists you used to see on the highway in the middle of nowhere. Didnt mean to sound dismisive of the springs but I only have the w/end and they will have to wait till next time i looked into that website link a bit more-sounds interesting. cheers for the info

Went there in '99. Nothing but a dry clay pan and a few big dunes. Can do a loop up from Xanthus and back to Kookynie via Pinjin over shot lines.
