Goodaye,

Tried to load my rig pic but file was too large. How do you make the file smaller.
Must admit I am using one of those tiny little, very crappy digital cameras. But its all I have at the moment.
Recently bought a digital video with the photo function (Not with memory stick though) but will need the whole fire wire thing to load from that. Can I load a photo from that? I know the resolution would be quite poor.

cheers

Robbo, you need to use a graphics program to reduce the size. If you haven't already got one on the puter a good and free one is irfanview.
http://www.irfanview.com/

Once in the program click on Image/Resize/Resample and set size to 300x300 pixels and save as a jpg, check that the result is under 50kb. Depending on the pic you may have to adjust the quality a bit to get it under 50kb. It's really very easy.

Thanks Bob but I was still half sleep when I wrote that. Just set the width to 300 pixels and the height will auto adjust to maintain the ratio.

Thanks for that tip Ray, I tried it and it is easy. Now I think I have worked out how Mrs Al and everyone else always seems to get good size pics in the members rig.
Thanks

Hi Karen, most thing with windoze are fairly easy once you know how. So now you can resize your own pics I look forward to seeing more from you. Nice pic of the campsite. Do you usually take the Hills Hoist along.

Hi Ray, you betchya I take the Hills hoist every where.LOL. It's about the first thing that gets unpacked..................It is such a great handy little thing, if ever it gets broken I will be upset. My pet hate is seeing ropes around trees for clotheslines. It's a home away from home when we go camping, even got a mini hot water service. Instant hot water.....LOL
