F250 Tyre help!!

After 16 months of travelling around this wonderful country of ours towing a caravan, 2 of our back tyres decided to give up the ghost on the same morning.
Can anyone suggest what would be the best tyres for our F250 with a constant weight of 1 ton in the back of the ute with caravan in tow.
We do approximately 80% bitumen and 20%Dirt.
All replies will be greatly appreciated.

Provided your rims are wide enough, going up a size or two will generally give you a greater weight rating too.
I had an '87 F350 4WD for 12 years and changed from the standard 16 1/2" tyres to 285/65R16 and never looked back.

when we ran F/trucks as ambulances , we ran michelin LTX ,
got a pretty good run out of them ,

I had a 2004 Ford F 250 for 3 years and the guy i bought it off owned a tyre company in South Australia and he ran Kellys LT tyres,and i got 75k out of those tyres and would not run anything else.

I have Bridgestone 697 AT's on my F250 4x4 and tow a 30ft 5th Wheeler and wiill be fitting the saame tyre on the 5th wheeler shortly. I also have them on my 200s series and find they are great.

I have gone back to the BFG A./T , after a couple of bad choices (coopers and dick cepek),neither stood up to the weight of ftruck.
I'm happy with bfg they will not get huge mileage from them but I have found mileage doesn't mean a better tyre.
The others were literally hard as rocks and offered no grip when it mattered.
The Michelin were my second choice
