Many moons ago, I placed a film to be processed with a photographic store. It contained unique images which were computer generated. These images were very colourful and unusual. Way before digital, my son had spent considerable time generating the images and I spent considerable time setting up my SLR camera to photograph them. So imagine my surprise when I went to pick up the processed photos from the camera store to find many of the photos had been copied and were already on sale in the
shop attached to fridge magnets! When I told the store manager it was illegal and the images had been stolen, he said "prove it, there is no written agreement between the store and you that these images could not be used". I never paid for the processing. I was
young and naive. I was also unaware of copyright laws for photographers. It will never happen again.
