I have a Maggiolina Airlander, which is a fiberglass top vehicle camper. All the advantages of a RTT as
well described above, but will withstand a storm without any effect. Have been in several. Takes no more than 5 minutes to wind up or down. We have done lots of tent camping too, and found the top saves around 1 hour of packing every time we move ( daily if travelling ).

There is no doubt about it these are quick to put up and take down. Never met an unhappy owner. One of the trade-off's I see is the ladder is longer and you are exposed to the elements when getting in and out. Do you see these as issue's and have you devised anyway around them.
