Martyn, We proudly took delivery of Tvan Murranji in October 2010. I wanted to ask whether you run a fridge in your Tvan & if so then how much
solar power do you use to keep it running and what size and type of batteries do you have on your Tvan? We intend to run a 40 litre Engel in ours & currently only have the Tvan supplied 50 watt solar panel & have 2x 100amp AGM batteries on the Tvan. Russell

Hi Russell,
I don't have the Engle in the TVan, I have the Engle in my tow vehicle, I'm not sure what the rating is of the glass mat battery I have on the Tvan but it's heavy and it's green!! I have two 75 watt solar panels of which I usually take only one with me. I have a Piranha dual battery management system with a solar plug connection. When I'm camping I typically have the solar panel hooked up to the TVan, usually charges up the battery within 2 hours of sun rise thats using the lighting and the water pump for the occasional kettle of tea or filling water bottles etc. If I'm camped I charge the Tvan first and then leave the solar panel hooked up to the tow vehicle via the Piranaha magic box. To date I've never had a problem, the 75W panel seems to be able to keep up with fridge demand during the day if we're camped.
Not sure how much help this will be to you, the auxillary battery in the tow vehicle is a yellow top Optima battery. Great choice of CT, you won't regret the purchase at all. Best thing since sliced bread, my wife and I love it, so versatile. Not sure which way round you sleep but we find that the head to the door way round works best. the nights where you just climb in the back with the insect net over the opening, fantastic. Yours Marty.
