I am looking for a multi port USB charger that I can plug into a 12 volt cig outlet or hard wire. I have a number of devices that can be charged via USB. I can only find 2 outlet devices supplied from Dick Smith, Jaycar etc.. I have 2 mini cams (gopro) 2 phones, iPad & e-reader that I would like to set-up & charge overnight but I'm reluctant to use my inverter & a power board for this. Has anyone got any suggestions please.
Regards
Rodger

We have a bunch of unused switch panels in the dash. What I would like is to modify one of the blank covers and mount a couple of USB charging ports in it. That would veave the cigarette holder free. And maybe cut out some loose messy cables hanging around the cabin. I already have the two cables in the lining and behind the dash leaving just a few inches hanging out near the console. I do have a Narva twin port in mind but it is a little large. The blank panels are quite small.
Anyone know where I can get just a couple of ports including the 12 to 5 V circuitry?
Any more ideas than this one where the centre white section and the small black ring immediately around it, comes out. I need it about the size of the white section only.

Just a follow up. I just took a blank panel out of the car and it looks like the largest hole that I can cut in it is just 20 mm. Small hey! That's why I am asking around. I want it to be neat and professional looking as the car isn't a cheap runaround. It's a Maxima.
Sure I could get one of these and just stick it on the console, but it's a bit tacky and messy. Okay for the 4x4. But I wouldn't do it for my beloved.

Ive got one of those but dont use it because the ciggy plug kept popping loose no matter how i tried to stop it.
Tried in several cars and just gave up. I now have one with 4 ciggy sockets and just stick the car charger cords into them

Thanks Tom. There seems to be a few good cigarette sockets and a lot of rubbish ones. We don't have problems with the ones for the fridges and 12V outlets in the rear of the Toyota. But for the "bosses" "limosine" I am after less cables and simple USB sockets. The one below was sent to me and I am considering it. With all of the cables to the dash cam, phone and kids "toys" behind the car trim and lining, it will mean only about six inches of cables in view. I would like to hard wire them all but she prefers them to be removable.
This is one example of the thing that I am after. I found it after my initial post after a phone call to a friend. I am looking for more options. It's about 2 mm too big on the thin side for my liking.
Thanks mate.

VK1DX I have seen those in dash ones on ebay to suit Toyota blank plates if that is what you are after?
I have the one like you first posted and it worked great with my Ipad
