Jayden, 2014 79 Series has zero offset, 2005 100 series V8 has 60mm Positive offset.

Doesn't your 100 Series also have 17" rims? There's a possibility of some problems with 1" less diameter rims if the brake caliper design is different on the 100 Series.

It never pays to assume one model of 'Cruiser uses identical components to another, the Japs change their components like I change my shirts - frequently.

I once went to buy some replacement wiper blades for one of my Hiluxes and found they had THREE different designs of wiper blades and arms just in the one YEAR! - not the one model!

Cheers, Ron.

Yep, I remember looking at an old fashioned paper parts book for Nissan Patrol's circa 197?. The exhaust section of the book, which had pages approximately A4 size, would have been around 10 mm thick. Apparently it covered all the exhaust configurations for any country that they were exported to.

Why so many?

Beats me!!

Definitely check everything.

Cheers

hi
If the rims on your 100 series are 16inch and 5 stud the only difference is that you will run a bit wider track.
I put RV rims on my 79 series off a 100 series worked fine .
Cheers

Reggy 2 - The OP is wanting to put 79 series rims on a 100 series, not the other way around.
There's subtle difference when you have 60mm difference in offset.

Cheers, Ron.

Reggy,
the Rigid Axle 100series (actually 105series) rims are fine on a 79series.
But the IFS 100series have 60mm pos offset.
So for Jayden to fit the 79series rims to a IFS 100series, they will stick out 60mm each side.

"I put RV rims on my 79 series off a 100 series"

Reggy, the way that reads to me, you had 100series RV rims (which were 16x6.5" and only ever made for rigid front axle) and put them on your 79series. Is that right?

Haven't heard back, but Reggy's 105RVseries rims are zero offset. Put them on a 79series with split rims (+20mm offset) and yes, they sit out an extra 20mm, but are a good fit.
But the original poster wants to put zero offset 79series rims onto a vehicle designed for +60mm offset. That means they stick out 60mm each side, so the steering becomes heavy and the tyres hit the mudflaps on full lock. Not a good result.
