Hi,just making an enquiring on the installion on 2011 Hilux sr5 reversing camera. Follow up artical posted on Dec 29,2011 threadID :90812 from PeteC i'm confused on the connection of cables on the 4 pin plug. Do i cut and join the yellow and white cable from such plug together,and also the connection of green reverse cable to where ? coulded find artical posted by big red.Thanks if someone could help

Hi Dean I am not certain if this info can help you. I have had a camera on the back of our van for some time now. I know your query is for a camera for your vehicle but the principle is the same. I have a camera on the van with a 4 pin plug which connects to a 4 pin cable that goes to the front of the car. Here it connects to a power cable with sockets to the monitor and the cars power supply which goes back down the 4 pin cable to power the camera it also powers the monitor . The purpose of the 4 pin cable is to give you an option to run 3 av inlets ( dvd or more cameras ) the other wire being to power the camera . .If the cable is like
mine it would be unwise to cut it and attempt to tap into as the wires are very fine.
Try to get onto the website called Elinz who sell a large range of camera systems ,cable ,monitors , and other parts which may give you an insight into your problem .
