ARB commercial bullbar (non-winch)

Anyone know whether it is possible to modify an ARB commercial bar (the non-winch version) to enable a winch to be fitted and if so what is required? Looking at a Runva winch.

Why don't you contact ARB they made it and should be able to advise you on what you can do.

Some have a winch reinforcing cradle
I read a thread recently of someone who modified a non winch bar resulting in a failure during a recovery

It probably can be done , we used to make our own winch bars years ago , never had one fail
Today with crumple zones and air bags it all very different , if your vehicle is a old model , no crumple zones or air bags it might be ok
I bet I know what ARB will say .

Thanks guys.
I had contacted ARB before posting here but had not at that stage received a reply.

Was hoping the only difference was a missing cradle that they could supply but no such luck. They suggested I could try an engineering place but said that cost would most likely be prohibitive.

So there goes my Christmas present!

So does your current bar have slots and/or cut outs and/or 4 bolt hole mounting pattern of 254mm x 114mm in behind the centre section of the bar.

Rod - it has the long narrow slot across the front. No other cutouts. Haven't looked for 4 bolt holes as I need to remove the protection plate underneath to do so - can't see in through the front slot.
