Hi all
Just got this email from my brother, he is an active member of the Pajero
forum.
"Hi Mate;
May or may not effect Aust models but Gen 4 Pajero's in Japan are being recalled. Just saw a topic in Pajero
forum of a guy in Japan telling about a recall. The link he gave was in Japanese but the link I have put in has been translated to English.
As I said it may not have anything to do with Aust models but as all are made in Japan there maybe a recall down the track.
Phil"
Pajero Recall???
Can only hope it doesn't affect us, I will have a look at my chassis number in the morning,( I'm only up this late due to insomnia)
Cheers, Dave

G'day Muzbry
At least if you had His help, nothing would be damaged.

Now if it was to do with Toyota this thread would have at least 60 reply...... out of the 60 only 3 would of been from people who owned Toyota's.
About 10 years ago Mitsubishi in Japan went through a very rough time when it was proven they covered up problems dating back 25 years...... this hurt the Japaneses culture and Mitsubishi to a point a few executives committed suicide over it.
I would say the problem only affects a small number of happy Mitsubishi owners but seeing what happened in the past they are taking action early to avoid a repeat.
Have a read of this.....about 3/4 the way down says it all.

I would say it's about saving face and the brand.
