Have heard that the wireless signal can be distorted by other equipment.
I ran a cable from the back of the truck and one from the caravan. Good signal all the time so far.

Hi Bosun
is there a such thing as a good wireless unit
as already stated the signal gets lost along the way
should ask you though are you asking for a reverse cam for car and trailer or just for the car
if just for the car the wireless might be ok
have found this to be a good wired unit

I have a $49 wireless job from ebay.
Works
well so to me is good. I mainly use it for hitching my camper trailer and of course reverse
parking my Discovery 2..
I once only had interfence from another camera at
Mildura where I had the camera image from the caravan next door. Confused me for a minute.

Would be interesting if you hooked up the caravan and drove off.

Bosun,
Have a yak with Safety Dave. He's a Mexican, but don't hold that against him ;) He knows his stuff and will not steer you wrong.
Satisfied customer, nothing else!

There is no such thing as a good wireless rear view camera, forget it.
Look up Safety Dave in
Melbourne. You can buy on line (I did)
My setup, car and 7m caravan uses two of his cameras and they have survived two laps of Oz and they are still working
well, I have had to trouble with them at all.
stay safe out there

For what it's worth my jaycar 'response' unit is on its second car and still going. Yes, the picture blinks a bit, and yes driving down the road you'll see the view from other cameras sometimes, but it does the business and wasn't an auto electrical nightmare to install - twice, so I think it has been great value for money. Any aftermarket camera is going to struggle to compare with an oe setup in most cases because the view and the little lines haven't been calibrated for that particular car or height/location of camera. But for looking a million bucks reversing the ute onto a trailer I'd buy another one tomorrow.
