Good morning all

Is it just me this morning, or are others having the same issue?

I opened Doug's story today and no images, just black squares, and when I replied to another forum post, every image for the members profiles were blank.

Gremlin or just me.

Keep warm

Cheers

All seems to be ok down this neck of the woods at the moment, but it wasn't a couple of days ago.

Since David has given us plenty of warning about the site changeover, that would seem the likely cause - and Sunday morning would seem like a good time to do that sort of stuff. Besides, there are photos as normal in Places, Blogs. Wildflowers. Curiously a few members ID photos are showing but not all.

Hi John and Val

It looks like thing are coming back slowly.

When I first posted this post, I could not see any images at all, not even the images at the top of the screen of the photo as they move across the top of the page.

Cheers

Guys & Gals,

FYI the images are now severed by a different web server and this server was down for some reason unknown to me - I had to reboot it and all was well again. So it can happen that the site works great but the images may file. We actually run a number of servers on ExplorOz for different tasks, mapping, images, mobile and web. On all of these we can have multiple servers running each of the task so up to 4 servers may be running for images or main web etc. So at a very busy point we could be running up to 16 different virtual machines.

The image server load balancer had failed and this is the thing that sits in front of the actual server and directs traffic to the least busy machine. Pity that when it stops the whole thing fails. I am working to implement and auto reboot process.

Major site migration this week.
