Timing belt light

My timing belt light comes on in my 80 series when I'm above 3000 revs. Anyone know why this might be?

It may be a dirty ign fuse in your fuse box, if you have an immobiliser fitted , then check the earth connection

mine rarely sees 3000 revs and if it does its only a second or two
