Good morning all. Planning our Western QLD trip in July & would like to hear from people who have stayed in Bedourie. We usually stay in cabin style accommodation.
There appears to be a choice of three, interestingly two appear to have the same address, eg Royal Hotel & Simpson Desert Oasis. The other being the Desert Sands Motel. I would be interested to your recommendations & or experiences there.
Many thanks.

The pub has dongas which are very basic but clean, most with their own en suite.
When I was there a month ago the air was thick with flies, but they should be gone now.
Very helpful and friendly people there.

Simpson Desert Oasis and Desert Sands Motel are the same business, excellent motel very clean and can guarantee a excellent nights sleep. Restaurant at Desert Oasis is very good also. Meals at the pub are also good.
Regards
Ian

Allan,

x2 for Desert Oasis. Stayed there some years back, for 2-3 nights, and found the rooms very comfortable. Did have a BBQ one night, but can't remember any other meals so they must have been good. If they were bad, am sure I'd remember.

By coincidence, there is a Desert Sands Motel in Boulia too. Very comfortable establishment.

Bob.

Seen it all, Done it all.
Can't remember most of it.
