Hi all, Looking to drive the Blue Rag and/or Billy Goats
Bluff Track next week - has anybody driven them recently that can tell me their condition? Standard
suspension Hilux with A/T tyres.

hi, just replied and everything crashed :( .
i was there on the long weekend . blue rag was smooth and you should be fine. billy goat was pretty good to but it is rocky and has ledges that might
test your clearance with stock
suspension.
only real problem was it was so crowded on the long weekend

3/4 of the way up Billy goat will
test your
suspension as bigden said. Expect some wheel spin there.

Blue Rag was bulldozed last season after the fires so is in excellent condition in fact know someone that drove it recently in 2WD.
Billy Goat is as rough as it's ever been with several
rock ledges & loose scrambling sections. Those with poor tyres, limited clearance or wheel travel may struggle particularly in the wet.
Cheers Craig........

Blue Rag, and Billy Goats, are fine to drive
Enjoy it
Your Hilux is a superb vehicle to tackle anything, in it's stanard form.
Remember to drop your tyre Pressures to 18-20 psi, and just take tour time
Cheers
Bucky

Bucky, no disrespect but not sure if you are giving tshilux a 'false sense of security' in regards to Billy Goats. Crackles is not the only person recently to say; "It is the worst they have seen it for a number of years". Remeber tshilux is in a standard vehicle & over the years I have seen many vehicles stuggle on certain sections of the track.
